Fischiare or To Whistle

Did you know that to whistle or fischiare in Italian is to show disapproval?  This is a nonverbal idiom in Italy we must understand and learn.

In other parts of the world, whistling is carrying a happy tune or could be used to show approval or to cheer someone.
