The Eye of Providence as Christmas lanterns

Out of all the christnas lights that decorated the city of Bologna this past Christmas season, the most interesting one was along the bridge over the central train station. It is a design with two eyes, one at both end of the bridge, and triangles and rays of light. I wondered why a freemasonry design would be displayed in Christmas. Anyway, it is the symbol of the Eye of Providence or the all-seeing eye of God. Maybe just a reminder to all residents here that God sees what we are doing.
